Almost done!

....with the Study!  This weekend we focused our efforts to finish the study so I could begin using it this week.  We were able to get everything done on the inside of the study....just need to put the final coat of paint on the french doors and then we are done!  Below are some pictures....

2nd Weekend....

of the remodel complete!  This weekend we finished the electrical (added 4 can lights and a ceiling fan) and the sheetrock.  The front room originally did not have any lights, what a difference it makes adding the cans!  Here are some pictures from the weekend....

Today they are beginning to tape and bed the sheetrock, next weekend we will be painting.  Colors are still being decided - stay tuned :)

A new year....

I cannot believe that I have not posted ONCE since the end of August.  Where did the time go?  So much has happened and changed since then, most in the last two weeks!

Three weeks ago I received a job offer that allowed me to work from home and not travel as much.  After returning from my last program of the year I turned in my two weeks.  I thought it would be a lot harder than it actually was since I have been with my company for almost 5 years!  I will miss seeing the friends I have made there every day, but I know we will keep in touch!

Last Wednesday, December 29th was a big day for Matt and I.... it was my last day at my job and Matt finally got the results to his Professional Engineering exam that he took on October 29th.  Not only did Matt pass but he made a 94!  I am so proud of him.  To celebrate all his hard work and dedication I took him to Bob's Steakhouse.  We have been wanting to go there for awhile and we were not disappointed at all!

With the new join I will be working from home, what does this mean....I "real" study as Matt puts it.  So Friday morning we begun building us a study.  We are turning the front dining/living room into two rooms.  Last weekend we got all the framing done and half of the sheetrock.  The project should be complete in three weeks.  Here are some pictures from the weekend....
