And the winner is....

Matt and I went to pick out our puppy today. We had 5 to choose from, the first pick decided to go with Mr. Green instead of Mr. Orange.

All 5 were in the play area for us to get a better feel for each one. Mr. White wanted nothing to do with us, he was perfectly content playing by himself. Mr. Blue is definitely going to be the largest when he is full grown, he came up to us immediately but then decided it was time for a nap. So we were down to three - Mr. Purple, Mr. Gold and Mr. Orange. After playing with the three of them and talking with the breeder, we narrowed it down to Mr. Purple and Mr. Orange.

It came down to looks, Purple had a pink nose and Orange had a dark nose. We had been a fan of Orange from day one and were kinda disappointed that the first pick decided on him at first. So we decided to go with.....MR. ORANGE!!!

Here are some pictures from today. After being there for about 40 minutes, he was ready for a nap. We had just made our decision and I was holding him when he fell asleep. These are right after I set him down.

We are so excited to go pick him up Friday night!!!

Play Date

Last weekend we were suppose to make our puppy selection, unfortunately the puppies had a reaction to their first vaccine. Therefore, everything has been pushed back a week. All the puppies are fine, they just have a spot on the back of their neck. They are all healing quickly, but he just wants to monitor then one more week.

So Matt & I decided to still head out there to have a play date! They are getting so big, and starting to show so much personality! Here are some pictures from our last visit...

We are going at 10am Saturday to pick him out. We found out last night that Mr. Orange was selected by the first family. We have mixed feelings...he is definitely the most active of the liter...but we had so much fun with him last weekend!!! We have 5 other very cute puppies to choose from....it will be so hard!

We have a name in mind but we are waiting till he gets home to see if his personality matches the name. We can't wait to bring him home!!

Future Member of Our Family

Some of you might have heard.....we are adding to our family! We are getting a yellow lab! We found a breeder in Farmersville that we really like and he has a full liter of yellow labs. The puppies are 4 weeks old so we went out there this weekend for a play date! Here are some pictures....

We will go back in two weeks to select our puppy and then February 19th we will be able to bring him home! We can't wait!!
